HDS USP - Splitting LUSE volumes back to standard LDEVs
If you split a LUSE volume back to it's composite LDEVs, the VTOC will be wrong still showing the original LUSE volume size. To get around this, do the following:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/rdsk/c*t*d*s2 count=1 (where * is the device number for the ldev)
This will overwrite the VTOC allowing you to relabel the disk where upon it will have the correct details.
NOTE: example is for a Solaris device, substitute this with the device nomenclature of your Unix OS!
